In the round of 32 match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, France faced Sweden on July 1st at MetLife Stadium. Thanks to two goals from Kylian Mbappé, France secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory, booking their spot in the next round.

France dominated possession from the outset. In the first half, they created several dangerous chances.
